Convenient dining options at Barra Bar within a short walk from here. The staff is fantastic and highly competent. Also, it's just a few minutes away from crocosaurus cove! 🐊

Central location
Noise, its situated above 3 nightclubs. Don't come here if you plan on sleeping

The pool and close proximity to every thing we came to see and do while in darwin
Not enough room in communal fridge and that people did not really clean up after them well enough. Hygiene is a big importance for the majority, an outside Barbeque could be an advantage.

It was located in the Darwin cbd close to mall, shops and the venue I attended a family function. The facilities and services were good and what one would expect for the rate payed. The little contact I had with the staff was positive. It was what I expected except booking online I had no idea about the nightspot on the ground level . The music noise late at night was a negative for me, but if I'd researched the Lodge more I may have become aware of it.

Could see fireworks from the room. Central to everything. Relatively inexpensive considering it was high season. Room was quite clean &comfortable.
Very loud music/revelry from bars two floors below, should warn guests. Share toilets & showers weren't the cleanest(mostly the result of drunken males) could do with bug screens on windows.

The front office server was friendly and helpful. She went out of her way to discuss options for getting to the other areas of Darwin that I needed to see.
The air conditioner was very noisy, although it did help to drown out the noise of the band downstairs.

Conveniently located within walking distance to several interesting places (ie. Markets, harbor, casino, restaurants)
I think it needs a fair bit of revamp to make it more comfortable and attractive, the smell of the common toilets downstairs was not a nice "welcome to Darwin"; it is noisy, the music goes on until 2am and the people chatting and smoking until later; it has no windows just a little one in the bathroom, and unless you want to keep the aircon on all night it is quite hot and hard to breath;

Security was excellent. As a female travelling alone, this is very important.
I had a suitcase that weighed 23 kg and had to struggle to carry it up the stairs to the second floor.

The location, there was aircon in the room
Strong chemical smell when we entered the tiny tiny room. There was nowhere to store any luggage in the room, no hanger, no anything, there was just a queen bed and 2 bed side tables, that was it.

No hot water: our shower ran cold for a considerable time (a waste of water) then ran hot for a minuite or so, then went cold and stayed cold (my elderley mother had to have her shower cold!) I forgot to tell the staff as I left the lodge

Affordable, clean, had a pool, convenient location.
Very off hand manner of reception / front counter staff. Limted information given (nothing re pool or kitchen) in very inhospitable style of communication. Double room had no cupboard or even hangers for clothes.

The location and price can't be beat. The staff were very friendly.
While the staff were friendly they told us that we'd be able to access our luggage that they were holding for the day till 2am (which was wrong since they only would accessed it until 9pm). The rooms are a touch on the smaller side but can't really complain about them for the price. The one real complaint is there is no elevator so be prepared to lug your luggage up three flights of stairs.

Great location for young people. Affordable for the budget conscious who do not wish to stay in backpacker accommodation.
Staff were incredibly rude and unwelcoming.
